Overview

Dear Colleague

Ards and North Down Borough Council (ANDBC) is currently developing a Good Relations Strategy and Action Plan for the period 2022-2025.  The Council is keen to ensure that people are provided with the opportunity to have a say and to help Ards and North Down Borough to continue to promote Good Relations in the area.  Good Relations is all about tackling sectarianism, racism and promoting cultural diversity and respect across the Borough between people from different religious, political and racial backgrounds.

Good Relations Programmes in all Council areas have to date been funded by The Executive Office within the "Together, Building a United Community" (TBUC) Strategy.  This reflects the Executive’s commitment to improving community relations and continuing the journey towards a more united and shared society. The Executive Office proposes to work with Councils on the basis of their current Good Relations audits and to focus on delivering Good Relations outcomes under four key themes:

  • Our Children and Young People;
  • Our Shared Community;
  • Our Safe Community; and
  • Our Cultural Expression.

Your opinions are critically important and we will use the findings to develop a new Good Relations Strategy for Ards and North Down Council area for the next three years.  We would appreciate if you would complete the questionnaire. It will only take ten minutes and all you have to do is answer the questions by clicking the appropriate answer, then following the simple instructions to submit your return.
