Dementia Friendly Communities
Overview
The Dementia Friendly Partnership was established to provide opportunities for statutory and community organisations to work together to help make Ards and North Down, Lisburn and Castlereagh, Down and the Colin and Greater Dunmurry area more dementia friendly.
A dementia friendly community focuses on reducing the stigma of dementia and is inclusive of those living with dementia diagnosis.
The partnership is made up of representatives from the Alzheimer’s Society, Age NI, Praxis Care, Healthy Living Alliance, Good Morning Colin, Peninsula Healthy Living, County Down Rural Community Network, South Eastern Health and Social Care Trust, Ards and North Down Borough Council, Lisburn and Castlereagh City Council and Newry, Mourne and Down District Council.
Why your views matter
The Dementia Friendly Partnership has engaged with those living with dementia to gain a better understanding of the issues important to them. Now, we would like to hear from you!
Being the carer of a loved one, family member or friend living with dementia, we would like to hear your views and feedback on the issues important to you regarding your caring role.
