Car Parking Strategy Consultation

Closed 31 Dec 2020

Opened 9 Oct 2020

Overview

Ards and North Down Borough Council is working to develop a Car Parking Strategy for the borough. It is aimed at supporting the prosperity and sustainability of our town and village centres by ensuring car parking provision is accessible, convenient and of a quality standard. It considers how this aspiration can be financed. In line with the Council’s commitment to sustainable development, it also considers how the strategy can support modal shift and methods of sustainable transport.

To develop its proposals, the Council has engaged extensively with key statutory partners including the Department for Infrastructure and with the Chambers of Trade in each of the borough’s five main towns.

We are now seeking feedback from the wider public, local stakeholders and businesses that may be impacted by the proposed changes.

We have prepared a presentation that provides an overview of the proposals, which may be helpful to review before completing the survey.

Please follow this link to read the presentation www.ardsandnorthdown.gov.uk/CarParkingStrategy

We very much welcome your responses to our survey questions, which relate to the key proposals of the Strategy
