20. The Ards and North Down Labour Market Partnership aims to support residents to gain work-ready skills, experience, or qualifications to move into employment or move into a better job. It also aims to support local employers by designing and delivering targeted programmes and interventions to increase the availability of individuals with in-demand skills and qualifications. Examples of previous programmes and interventions include a HGV Academy, a Health & Social Care Academy, Taxi Academy, Job and Apprenticeship Fair's and Employer-led Upskilling Grants.
