Review of Ards and North Down Borough Council Town and City Advisory Groups

Overview

The review of the Town and City Centre Masterplans was completed in August 2023. 

A key action arising from this review was to undertake an independent review of the Town and City Advisory Groups to ensure they are fit for purpose for the delivery of masterplan projects and in light of the new NI policy and strategic context.

This includes economic development, tourism and community planning and an increased focus on a holistic approach to place making, regeneration and sustainability.

Ards and North Down Borough Council has commissioned Place Solutions and The Paul Hogarth Company to undertake the review of the Town and City Advisory Groups with a time frame up to the end of March 2024.

Why your views matter

This survey is being issued to all current members of the Town and City Advisory Groups from the public, private and community sector. 

The results will inform the review and subsequent recommendations on the future structure, role, and remit of a new effective, representative, action focused mechanism for engagement, consultation and collaborative decision making in your town or city centre.

The survey is designed to collect views and opinions on the current Town and City Advisory Group meetings and to also seek your opinions on how these might evolve moving forward.

Individual responses will only be shared with the consultants undertaking the review.

Only cumulative responses will be published as part of the review findings. 

No comments will be attributed to an individual or organisation.
