Overview

QA Level 3 Award for Emergency First Aid at Work

One day course adapted for those involved in food and drink sector.  This will cover burns, cuts, severe food anaphylaxis, physical injuries such as breaks and sprains as well as breathing and those situations requiring CPR.

  • 29 October Course: Modified for those providing food experiences, tours and hospitality (high levels of customer contact).
  • 30 October Course: Modified for those in food production, retail and markets.

Course includes learner registration, practical sessions with guided assessment, QA e-certification, CPR faceshield and course manual. 

Taking place in the Dusty Miller Room, Ards Blair Mayne Leisure Centre. Newtownards, BT23 4DB.

Business can apply for up to three spaces, however places will initially be allocated on the basis of one place per business. A  booking fee wil be applied to secure your place.

This course is to be provided by '2 Save a Life' who are based in Ballywalter.

The course will commence at 9.30am on both Tuesday 29 and Wednesday 30 October and end at 4.30pm.  Lunch will be provided.

 

Why your views matter

This course is offered to members of Taste Ards and North Down food and drink network only.  The course is framed to help members meet the challenges of managing HSE issues at work.  Completion of this course will enable individuals to complete a three day course for an enhanced certificate and may help reduce insurance costs.

Members should only book a place where they feel this course would assist with their HSE management.
