Playclubs Debrief 2026

Overview

Debrief Form is to completed at the end of each play session by the team, with contributions from all staff and volunteers attending.

It's purpose is:

record staff, volunteer and children numbers.

record any compliance issues

record SPICE elements

record activity responses from children

listen to the needs of children who participate and adjust to these needs, accordingly.

record any other resources that are required.

Why your views matter

We strive to achieve excellence through developing and delivering high quality play opportunities in our clubs, we this by employing SPICE elements in all areas of planning and delivery.

SPICE supports children's development, it emphasises the importance of the child's voice.

Social - Learning to share, cooperate, take turns and build friendships through play

Physical - Developing coordination, balance, fine/gross motor skills through active play

Intellectual - Stimulating curiosity, imagination, and problem solving through exploration and learning.

Creative - Encouraging imagination and self expression through art, music and role play.

Emotional - Building confidence, resilience, and understanding of emotions through safe play
